Pastors Dave and Arleen Uchizono have a heart to see lives transformed, families restored, and the next generation built up to be the thought leaders and architects of a hope-filled future.

Builder

Although a California native, Dave is a Chicago graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Master of Divinity) and Loyola University Chicago (Master of Arts in Philosophy). Ordained in ministry since 1999, Dave has dedicated his life to serve in both associate and senior pastoral positions. His passionate commitment to the theological integrity, application, and integration of scriptural understanding for all believers grounds people in the Truth that sets the captives free. He’s a builder of integrous, sound, spiritual structure to grow, sustain, and catapult the believer into their God-given destinies.

Dreamer

Arleen is an impactful God-dreamer! With Bachelor and Master degrees in Education, she successfully taught elementary school children for several years. In addition, her training and experience in inner-healing church ministry has helped her to skillfully lead many people in God-encounters that bring freedom and wholeness to the soul. Through seasoned prophetic insight, she masterfully weaves lovingkindness as she navigates others into personal break-through and into developing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

Reflexion Church was birthed out of a combined call for Dave and Arleen to teach and lead image-bearing sons and daughters of God into re-discovery of their Kingdom identity and purpose: for that which was lost to be found in “Christ in us, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). Through building foundational understanding of Holy Scripture, and Spirit-led instruction on hearing the Voice of God, Dave and Arleen help equip the Body of Christ to function as mature sons, for which all of creation groans (Rom 8:19).

Through discipleship, Dave and Arleen have seen healing and transformation forge individuals into unstoppable forces of power in Christ Jesus. Together, their determination to see the glory of God in people fuels their strong emphasis on equipping and training believers to be built up as Kingdom leaders. From the seasoned to the new believer, they are honored to disciple others, walking people from darkness into His marvelous light.

  • Pastors Dave and Arleen are ever-present helpers in time of need, available to confidentially partner with us in prayer support, wisdom, and insight when we need it, whether our issues are big or small. They provided prayer support for me regarding a recent journey, and I received prophetic insight that indicated God’s protection and provision for the trip. All our prayers were affirmatively answered and when I needed help, it was provided each time even before I asked, as well as when I was told it was not possible. I am grateful to have pastors who not only teach, but prayerfully shepherd as well.

  • During the Covid lockdowns Pastors Dave and Arleen refused to believe in the fear and the lies that were telling the world to isolate and stay home. Rather, they opened up the church as soon as possible, as they knew that faith and obedience to God superseded anything the world imposed on us. While many churches were losing members, our church started growing as people came seeking God during these confusing times. I can’t thank them enough for doing this as this was critical in the healing of my family.
